This was the day Simon was being picked up by his boss's wife and taken to the Mareeba Airport. He had only just returned from Cairns on the bus so he was a quickly packing of travel stuff before she arrived. His night at poker had not been good but he took it in his stride. No time to think about it actually. He was off again. Peter was just glad to have caught a few moments with him before he was not there for the rest of the time. Simon intends to fly to Melbourne for Christmas which is really nice.
Mon and Peter took Mum to Kay's for her hairdressing appointment. A really nice caring and enduring relationship has developed between Mum and Kay over the years. During these economically harder times Kay has moved her business to her own home and it was a nice drive through the tableland country to get there. Mum had wanted a wave put in so Peter and Mon went off for a coffee together and more theological discussion. On the way back Mum bought roses from a rose farm. For lunch it was very yummy fish and salad. Peter will try to post a blog for each day of his stay so there is more in store.
