Day Six

These are some of the roses at present in Mum's unit. They are purchased on Wednesdays and by the weekend they have all opened and look really good. Today has no other pictures to show.

Peter went to church. Paul Russel was there with his broken foot. Everyone was just that little bit older. People asked after Peter's mum and he was able to tell them.

Mon had gone to the Tolga Market. When he returned he started the lunch time meal. Peter joined him in some of the prep. After lunch Mon was picked up for an overnight stay with friends and Peter was 'officially' the soul carer.

The rest of the day went well. Peter was able to get his mum ready for bed, which involved tea, preparing the bed, and applying cream on the back and ointment on the leg. Then they had a long talk till 10pm. Though that was late, Mum often lies in bed awake for a long time. Hopefully she can drop off without too much trouble and that the long talk did not overstimulate her mind.
