Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

It was the Whittlesea Chaplaincy Committee's turn to sell sausages at Bunnings Mill Park. Spots for this form of fundraising for 2018 had to be in before the end of September last year. Bunnings was very helpful by giving a close estimate of the number of sausages needed for the day, like over 40 Kg. We linked up with others before 8 am to set up. We were selling at 8:30! It was constant all day until 4 pm and customers came even during the occasional rain shower we had on the day. That saved us watering our garden when we got home. Some people simply came up the generously gave us a donation because they liked the work of chaplaincy in schools. We felt blessed to be involved.

Whittlesea Woodcraft Start

Peter has a new location at the school this year, hence the different look. In the first week it happened the students built small houses. This second Woodcraft Club meet many of them had vehicles to assemble and they glued their choice of wooden shapes to these. As a result each vehicle was very different from the next.

Peter 65

Whether Peter wants to believe it or not, he reached his 65th year without any lasting health issue. Yes, he needs magnifiers to read with and the week before he had contracted conjunctivitis for the first time in his life so it was a relief to get that one off. Family came around and Peter received a variety of bought and homemade gifts from his kids and grandkids. Everybody was generous with their love and time and made the moment very special.
