Day Twelve

This was the day that Barb's sister Madonna arrived from Tasmania. After a coffee at the airport and a brief stop at our home, we were off with her to Gembrook, to the Funks for the rest of the day.

Bec had very tastefully decorated the lounge room's wood heater into a Christmas altar. The way stiff wire has been used to sprout 'arms' from the chimney to hang things on is brilliant. Well done Bec.

Piper and Jasper remembered Donna. She told them that after lunch, they would be allowed to open her presents to them. She was only going to be with them for the day and she had to see that they thought.

Piper's present was a box of baby animals. Jasper and Jethro's present was a teepee tent. Jethro sort of helped with the unrapping by gathering up the paper scraps that Jasper was leaving him.

The tent was a great hit and after a time Gord set it up properly in the back yard. Piper and Jasper played in it and in doing so they found it had a back door as well as a front door.

"No, Popper. No photos. We have to close the door" said Piper. It sure is a nice little teepee.

Later in the day, Bec showed Donna videos of the kids, even of when the family were living in Canada. The kids really enjoyed seeing themselves doing those 'funny things' when they were little.

It was a relaxing Saturday. Bec and Gord took our visit easily. Bec has recently been collecting music off the internet and both are looking forward to going to a live concert some time soon.

This is soooo cute. Jasper spent well over an hour in this pose. Barb stayed put to let him. Piper and Peter went off to the shops to look for some more chocolate and play for a bit in the park on the way back.

Before the evening meal, Piper and Jasper were on the old car again. Soon it will be taken to a new home for spare parts, but until then it remains an adventure playground for the two. On this occasion, the yellow ball was thrown off by Jasper and Piper would retrieve it.
