We post this for the record. In a few more months the area will be so very different with the pumpkin vines effectively taking over the back yard as they did in the previous two years. An effort will be made to keep an effective path through it to the beans, celery, silverbeet and tomatoes. At that stage, it will be an arm wrestle with pumpkin vines which all seem to be moving across the yard like "Triffids" in slow motion. Have you read the book: "Day of the Triffids"? Like that.
