Lake Louise
Another excursion from our base camp at Banff was to visit world famous Lake Louise. It deserves to have such a high world heritage listing. We were pretty well blown away when we turned the corner of the path from the carpark when it appeared for the first time. Suffice to say that we both snapped many pictures of which we share only a small sample. With the lake as a backdrop we all posed for an extended family photo then split up to do different things. Peter stayed about the main area to do a few sketches while Barb took the walk towards the glacier in the distance and to visit the heritage listed tea house along the way. Jasper and Jethro walked the track as well. This was actually the first time they had 'touched' snow! Jasper had spent a winter in Canada when he was two but this was the first time in his own living memory he had touched it. A very special outing to an amazing place.
