Our December Saturday Market has gone well. This was never certain because we heard that most people would opt to do their Christmas shopping at large air-conditioned shopping plazas. We are therefore very fortunate that a cold front passed through our region yesterday cooling everything down. Instead of a 39 degree day like it was last Thursday, we had a very nice 21 degree maximum and not a drop of rain. There is definitely a divine hand in this one. Though we can't push this sort of theology too far, it does give us added comfort at times such as this. We are greatly chuffed that a market so close to Christmas had encouraging attendance and brought community together... away from the big commercial hubs.
