Tallarook Excursion to CERES
Peter had the good fortune of being able to join a Tallarook school excursion to CERES in Brunswick, Melbourne. The students learned about the Wurundjeri people, the original owners, and enacted a Dreamtime story of Tiddilic the Frog, getting dressed up as native animals, trying to make the frog character (their teacher) laugh. Afterward they learned about recycling waste, anything from food scraps right through to material that won't break down for thousands of years. They also did a short walk along the nearby Merri Creek. The CERES program was well presented and a lot was packed in. Well done to all who put in the effort.
