School Cross Country

On the last day of first term, on a warm and dry day, Tallarook combined with two other country schools for their annual school cross country. Peter had a 'track marshal' position at the top of one of the slopes. The ten year olds ran for two Kms and the older students ran for three. The slow inclines were tough for the kids. The hot and dry air made it harder. Lots of kids had to stop running and walk the remainder of the circuit. But all in all it was a successful day and the best ten runners of each category now go on to District Cross Country in about four weeks. The venue, the Pylong Golf Course made the scale of everything an experience in itself. The views were breathtaking.
