We had a brief opportunity to inspect the new hut at Gembrook Retreat last weekend. What a fine building it is, well proportioned and with windows and decking facing the view north into the valley. This project has grown slowly and thoughtfully from the moment the old hut was dramatically removed in flames over a year ago. We wish every blessing for future Retreat visitors who use this new creation growing up out of the ashes of the old. It is encouraging to witness the continued drive by the residents and friends of the Retreat to preserve the vision for people to remove themselves from the busyness of life and rejuvenate their souls in this place again.
