Camp Cooking

This has proved to be a very busy month if the number of blogs are any indication. It has culminated in a five day camp where we cooked for sixty young people. This meant that we had to spend many hours before that figuring out quantities of food to suit the agreed menu for that many people. We had not done this kind of thing for about ten years so it was a little scary. It was a short notice decision and now after the event we felt glad we accepted. We agreed that God's providing hand was over this decision. The pictures below are just a sampling of how it went. Sometimes we were just too busy to think about snapping away. The location was the Coolamatong Farm Camp just south of Bairnsdale, Victoria, four hours drive east from Melbourne. The campers were under the Scripture Union banner, called MAD Camp, a coming together of many secondary college kids and their leader/mentors using the theme of circus. It was very well done and plenty of fun.

Fresh eggs every day and a place to toss food scraps

Simple fruit platter

Toasted sandwiches for 60 plus is definitely a logistical challenge
