Our Fortieth

It seems a nice thing to release the album of our wedding day of forty years ago. The photos seem timeless, taken by a professional wedding photographer (a Mr. De Radt). The wedding was at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church Bulimba, Brisbane and officiated by Fr. Brian Lee. It was one of Brisbane's hottest days of the month but we only felt the joy of the moment. Seriously did not feel the heat. The photos in the city's Botanical Gardens were in the shade at the photographer's favourite spot. The National Hotel (famous later through the Fitzgerald Inquiry) with its air-conditioning gave our seventy guests relief at the reception. They all saw us off as we began our honeymoon drive to Binna Burra in Lamington National Park. There were no hick ups. The day went as smooth as. All in all it was a fabulous day to begin our married life. God set us up, two very different people, and held us together through thick and thin, and there were plenty of those. To God be the glory.
