Summer Garden
These pictures have been posted as a record of the state of our garden produce effort this year. Rows of carrots have sprouted and pumpkin vines are beginning to take over the yard like it did the previous year. This time though we will manage the growth so we have passage through. At least that is the plan. We are learning what works and what does not and we hope by April/May this year we will be able to report on a bountiful harvest.

Funky Holiday
We visited the holidaying Funks at St Andrews Beach facing Bass Strait. Over the horizon was Tasmania. The drive there took over two hours using the tollway and connecting freeway (M3 and M11). Imagine how long it would have taken any other way. It was a perfect day and we all walked to the beach to soak in the atmosphere and space. The Funks were staying at a Air B&B quite close to the coastline.
Cape Schanck Lighthouse
Our castle kept on losing against the incoming tide.
Peter seems to be somewhat exhausted...

Drone Visit
Simon visited and showed us his Mavic Pro drone that he hopes to use as a photographing service around Melbourne. It is different when we know the driver of the drone. The last drone we saw over our suburb we treated with caution and suspicion so it was useful to appreciate the difference. The machine packed into a very small case. We were very impressed with its speed through the air and its ability to hold a position in a breeze, and of course the pictures it was able to take... of us.

On the Day...
On the day of our 40th, and as a gift to eath other, we took the train to the city, had an amazing meal (slow cooked lamb shoulder with a great red to wash it down), and then went on to the Pop-Up Globe Theatre in the Gardens over the river. We saw Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" presented in a very contemporary way with Samoan cultural overtones. We were two of the many 'ground-lings', those who had to stand the whole time. The three theatre action pictures were taken from internet images. The other pictures are ours plus various city snaps taken on the same day. All to record the memory of the day when we look back later.
