These days we have been sharing a book together and are being thoroughly illuminated by our latest one: William Dalrymple, "From The Holy Mountain: A Journey Among The Christians of the Middle East". Published 1997 (between the first Gulf War and all those following it), this book has filled in the gaps for us and explains the tragic situation so many Middle East Christians have found themselves in.
