Because Peter's Mum suddenly got very sick and went into hospital, he flew up there at short notice to be with her and his family up there. His brother John picked him up from the Cairns Airport and took him the rest of the way to Atherton. From there it was onto the Atherton Hospital for a visit straight away.
As the days passed and it is now the third day Peter has been up there, his Mum has made good improvement and will soon be allowed to be discharged. This is good news for all the family. Peter can't take the credit for her great improvement. She is simply a pretty tough piece of humanity and it is not her time yet.
Even though they were all together last year, this was the first time they had the opportunity for a family photo. John set up his camera on a tripod and Mum, Dad, and the three sons (Peter, Phillip and John) grouped together for a series of memorable captures. Peter picked what he thought was the best one for use on this blog to share the happy moment.
