Whittlesea Woodcraft

Woodcraft at Whittlesea PS started steadily with a flexible start followed by a number of motorbike kits and kangaroo kits for those who got in early. Peter has had to keep the assembly simple to minimise the calls for help. It seemed to go well for the right number of people coming in. At this stage Peter is not sure what idea he will travel with next... a house shape?

Tallarook Minecraft

This was the second time Peter had prepared wooden Minecraft 'Steves' for woodcraft at Tallarook. The kids were quick to understand the assembly and some pushed it into new creations. They had the opportunity to colour in Steve's body if they wanted to. The Bondcrete glue continued to do wonderfully well in the warm weather.

Peter's Birthday

Peter is going to have a few parties and this is just one of them. We met half way and had a precious time with the Funks. The birthday gifts were special little heartfelt gifts from the young ones, two pocket books for note taking, and a basket of fresh produce from the Funk garden... very special. The pictures say it all.

Tallarook Woodcraft 2016 Commences

Peter's first woodcraft club at Tallarook Primary School was about free range creating from what was available: "Make anything you want." The material glued together ranged from twigs and bark found in the school year to children's coloured wooden blocks. Peter is always on the look out for throw-away play blocks; other blocks were docked from pine lengths as usual. The creations by the children were impressive. At the end of the fifty minutes there was hardly anything left in the flat trays and the glue was almost spent.
