Our plane landed at Saigon first and we changed to a continuing domestic flight on to our first stop: Hanoi.

Funfields

We hosted our grandkids for three days while Bec and Gord had a short holiday. It was a really good run for us. The kids were good and a delight to look after. We watched DVDs and videos as well. We were helped by our penciled-in itinerary on what we were hoping to do. So we stuck with our plan to go to Funfields last Friday even though it was right up around 40 degrees C that day. Funfields is near the town of Whittlesea just north of us, just a 20 minute drive from our place. The water there was cold and provided us with plenty of relief. If we covered up sufficiently against the sun's rays we would be OK. We had a wow of a time, though if you look down at the pictures of the mini-golf players you would think they were flagging under the heat. Yes, heat there was but it did not ruin the day.
